Ward Organizing Meeting for the SHADE Advocacy Committee on Thursday November 19th at 7:30 pm

Advocacy Defined

As part of our organizing efforts we are setting Ward Advocacy Committees. We are looking for parents who want to step up and help lead in your Ward or be part of this effort.

We would appreciate having parents and students who can help build relationships with City Council Members, Board of Education candidates, ANC members and other influencers in the district. Building and fostering these types of relationships can really help us when it comes to advocating for DESA’s interests in relation to issues like the school budget, school reopening, transportation and so much more.

This is also a great opportunity to be a booster for Ellington – help showcase the amazing things our Ellington students are creating, curating, and performing.

If you are interested in joining this meeting, or would like to get more info, please RSVP directly to: Laurie Moskowitz, SHADE VP for Advocacy at  lauriemoskowitz@gmail.com
